Cannons


1. French Field Carriage - early 19th century. Made from Iroko with mild steel ironwork and wheels five feet in diameter with curved spokes.

2. English Ships Carriage. Baseboard type stepped checks laminated wooden wheels. Short stool bed. Mid 17th century type.

3. English Field Carriage, late 17th century. Split wheels four feet five inches diameter, cannon iron saker, mild steel ironwork.

4. English wrought iron Breech Loader. Fitted with powder flask and wedge. English Oak Carriage circa 1450.

5. English Field Carriage similar to previous example, fitted with straight spokes, made from Iroko.

6. English Trebucket circa 1350 made from European oak, fitted with swinging basket. Throwing arm twenty four feet long.

7. English Garrison Carriage circa 1870. Fitted with cast iron wheels intended for fortress use. Made from Iroko.

8. English Garrison Carriage similar to previous example, fitted with wooden stool bed. Cannon fitted. Mid nineteenth century type.
